Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) operates through a collaborative funding arrangement between municipalities or Metis settlements and the Province of Alberta, established under the FCSS Act and Regulation. FCSS focuses on delivering preventive social programs designed to promote and enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities at the earliest opportunity.
In Peace River, FCSS offers a range of prevention-focused family and youth programs, as well as community events. A key role of FCSS is connecting individuals with local organizations that offer additional support through our Information and Referral service.
FCSS also supports seniors with a focus on healthy aging in place, helping individuals remain in their homes for as long as possible.
