Road and Sidewalks
The Town of Peace River maintains the road (including paved and gravel lanes) and sidewalk networks. Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors maintains Highway 2, Highway 684, Highway 743, and Highway 744 through Peace River.

Alberta Environment and Protected Areas has issued an Ice Jam Watch for the lower Smoky River and the Peace River from the Town of Peace River to Sunny Valley.
A single lane closure will be in place on Landing Street (main entrance to Lower West Peace) starting this evening (April 21) due to a localized landslide concern. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and managed with signage. Please obey all posted signs and use caution in the area.
