Built in 1938, Athabasca Hall is a historic landmark and cultural center. It serves as the home of the Peace Players Theatre group, which presents several productions from May to September. The Hall features a Theatre upstairs and Gallery downstairs, both available for rent. Whether you're hosting a performance or seeking space for teaching a course, Athabasca Hall offers a versatile setting. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
Theatre
Located on the main level of the building, the stage area is complemented by fixed spectator seating for 242, and a lounge and bar area. This provides an excellent setting for a variety of events, including theatrical productions, dance recitals, comedy shows, music performances, lectures, and other presentations.
Gallery
Located on the lower level, this spacious and open area is perfect for small gatherings and meetings. It features a serving area with a sink and refrigerator. Tables and chairs are provided, with seating available for up to 95 people. The space includes 12 round tables, 12 six-foot tables, and 4 eight-foot tables, allowing for flexible setup options. Please note that setup and takedown services are not provided.
Additionally, the lower level houses two dressing rooms with rear stage access, offering added convenience for performances and productions. If you plan to use both the Theatre and the dressing rooms, please be aware that additional fees apply.
