Meals on Wheels is dedicated to supporting health, well-being, and independence. Our friendly volunteers deliver nutritious meals to anyone who qualifies for temporary or long-term meal assistance. Meals are prepared by Points West Living in their commercial kitchen and delivered directly to our client’s homes once per week.
Meals on Wheels can provide assistance if you are:
- Housebound and unable to shop.
- Unable to cook for yourself due to physical limitation.
- Temporarily disabled such as after an accident, injury, or surgery. (Doctor’s referral required).
Clients under 65 years will need to provide a referral from a Doctor, Social Worker, or Community Nurse.
To apply please complete the Application and Client Consent Form available from the Seniors Services Coordinator, (780)-624-1000 or ausman@peaceriver.ca

Volunteer With Meals on Wheels
Our volunteers are the most important ingredient in our program. They donate their time to deliver meals and provide valuable social interaction by visiting with clients, checking to see that they are well, in addition to delivering smiles and laughter.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us! Meals are delivered on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m., and delivery takes less than 2 hours.
