
2026 Applications Now Open
Applications for 2026 are now open, with a deadline of 4:30 pm Tuesday April 7.
Please fully read the Applicant Guidelines before completing the application and call Community Services at (780)624-1000 if you have any questions.
Peace River non-profit organizations are invited to apply for FCSS Grants to Groups Funding. Eligible projects may receive up to 75% of the total project cost, to a maximum of $15,000.
Eligible projects:
- Must be of a preventive nature, as defined by the Government of Alberta Family and Community Support Services Accountability Framework: "A proactive process that strengthens the protective factors of individuals, families, and communities to promote well-being, reduce vulnerabilities, enhance quality of life, and empowers them to meet the challenges of life."
- Enhance the social well-being of individuals and families through promotion or intervention strategies provided at the earliest opportunity.
- Must directly benefit Peace River residents.
Programs and Services not eligible under the program include those that:
- Provide primarily for the recreational needs or leisure time pursuits of individuals.
- Are intended to sustain an individual or family, i.e., providing food, clothing or shelter.
- Are primarily rehabilitative in nature.
- Duplicate services that are ordinarily provided by a government or government agency.
IMPORTANT: Review the Applicant Guidelines before completing the applications. Provincial funding requirements have changed for 2026.
