Sign up for the ESS Food Voucher Program

Restaurants and food providers, sign up for our Emergency Social Services (ESS) Food Voucher Program!

We’re getting set up for emergency response season, and part of that is making sure local restaurants are ready if we’re ever hosting evacuees from another community.

(To be clear, this has no relation to the spring break-up we’re preparing for, and there is no current emergency. This is for when we operate an evacuation centre.)

Through our ESS program, the Town uses a Food Voucher Program so evacuees can access meals at local restaurants. If you’re a restaurant or food service (including in a grocery store), you can register in advance to take part.

If ESS is activated, registered businesses may be contacted to start providing meals. To participate, you’ll need to be located in Peace River, provide detailed receipts, and ensure vouchers are used only for food purchases.
