A black bear was reported on the west side ("back") of Misery Mountain today, July 22.
We live in bear country, but anyone using the trails or surrounding area is encouraged to be extra aware and give wildlife plenty of space.
Alberta BearSmart recommends keeping your distance, watching for signs of recent bear activity, and having bear spray readily accessible while outdoors.
