Poverty Simulation

Person sleeping on a bench in a sleeping bag.
This unique and powerful experience is designed to challenge perceptions and enhance empathy as participants gain deeper insight into the complex challenges facing Albertans living with low-income. The simulation replicates a month in the life of a family experiencing poverty, with participants assuming the roles of family members and working alongside their family unit to maintain access to food, shelter, and other basic needs – all while navigating a range of obstacles and challenges.
