The Municipality is proposing the sale of land for less than market value and as a result, the Municipal Government Act requires that the public be notified.
Anyone wishing to file a petition regarding this proposed sale must do so by January 12, 2027.
Anyone wishing to file a petition regarding the proposed resolution must do so in compliance with the requirements contained in sections 222 to 226.2 and 231 of the Municipal Government Act.
A petition must be filed with the Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of Peace River on or before January 12, 2027, being 60 days after this notice is advertised for two weeks.
Only electors of the Town of Peace River are eligible to be petitioners.
To be sufficient, the petition must be signed by electors of the Town equal in number to at least 10% of the population.
