Coun. Orren Ford and members of the Peace Regional RCMP Advisory Committee helped thank local business leaders for their contributions to this initiative.
The Positive Ticketing campaign gives local RCMP officers a chance to recognize youth for doing something positive in the community and rewarding them with a gift certificate. It creates more opportunities for kids and police to connect in a friendly, encouraging way.
Small interactions like these go a long way in developing Good Samaritans and a community that supports each other.
Canadian Tire, Dairy Queen, and Mr. Mike's have all made significant donations to support this campaign over the years.
