A major rural health conference is coming to Peace River this fall, and you're invited!
From October 6-8, 2026, Peace River will host the RhPAP Rural Community Conference, bringing people together from across rural Alberta to talk about healthcare, community, and what it takes to attract and retain healthcare workers in places like ours.
You do not have to work in healthcare to attend!
This conference is for anyone who cares about rural healthcare and the future of our region. It is a chance to hear what other rural communities are doing, learn from people with real experience, and bring back ideas that can help support healthcare attraction and retention here in Peace River.
It is also a great opportunity to welcome visitors to our town and show them what makes Peace River such a special place to live, work, and visit.
The conference will include keynote speakers such as Jeremy Evans, “The Grizzly Dude,” who shares a powerful story of survival after surviving a grizzly bear attack while hiking alone.
Early bird registration closes June 10, and there's a great discount if you get tickets early.
Help make this a full house and show healthcare professionals how much we value their contribution to our community!
