Water levels are currently elevated in the Peace River, and Town staff are actively monitoring conditions as freeze-up continues.
We are in regular contact with Alberta Environment and Protected Areas and will continue to track the situation closely.
Rising water level is normal during freeze-up, and we keep an eye to make sure it stays within expected ranges.
Please stay off the river and away from riverbanks during freeze-up, as ice conditions can change quickly.
