We need more members of the Municipal Planning Commission, and you reading this are a prime candidate.
The Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) is a nine-member board that reviews and decides on discretionary use and variance development applications under the Town’s municipal development plan, land use bylaw, and related planning documents.
Members serve three-year terms, receive training, and play an important role in shaping how land is used and developed in the community.
The MPC meets every second Tuesday at 4:15 pm on an as-needed basis, typically 6 to 12 times per year, and is ideal for residents interested in planning, development, or contributing to long-term community growth.
Although the role isn't paid, you get to help make important decisions for the community, and it could be a nice item on your resume.
