Announcing the Ron and Peggy Campbell Legacy Fund

We’re pleased to share news of a generous contribution from the Campbell family that will support local youth and the preservation of community history!

Through the Ron and Peggy Campbell Legacy Fund, established with the Edmonton Community Foundation, Lorne and Melanie Campbell have created two lasting funds in honour of their family’s roots in Peace River:

  • The Ron Campbell Sports Fund, which provides financial assistance for children in Peace River to take part in minor sports; and
  • The Campbell Family Museum and Archives Legacy Fund, which provides ongoing financial support to the Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre.
The legacy fund was created in memory of Ron and Peggy Campbell, and also honours their parents, Charlie and Mabel Blanchard Richardson, and Archie and Mary McDougall Campbell, all long-time residents of Peace River.

The Edmonton Community Foundation is a registered charitable organization that manages permanent endowment funds and reinvests the returns into charitable causes year after year.

The Town of Peace River extends our heartfelt thanks to the Campbell family for this lasting investment in our community’s youth and heritage. Their generosity will continue to make a difference for generations to come.

And good news: applications are now open for the Ron Campbell Sports Fund!
