We’ve had a report of a resident receiving a text message claiming they owed property taxes and directing them to pay.
However, the resident did not owe any taxes.
The Town of Peace River does not send any tax notifications by text message.
Official Town tax correspondence is always sent by Canada Post.
Tax Notices are mailed each May.
Arrears letters are mailed each November and January.
If you receive a suspicious message about your taxes, do not click any links or provide personal information.
