We're thankful for Elder Dave Matilpi smudging our new Town Hall building yesterday.
The building was previously the location of provincial government agencies Alberta Supports and Children and Family Services. Recognizing that some community members may have negative connections to the building, we requested a smudge to cleanse it and give it a fresh, renewed start as our Town office.
In attendance for the smudging were Mayor Elaine Manzer, Councillor Shelly Shannon, Councillor Byron Schamehorn, CAO Barbara Miller, Director of Community Services Tanya Bell, and Director of Infrastructure and Development Pat Fisher.
