As the weather warms up and our crosswalks reappear, some of you might be itching to paint one!
We’ve got a policy for that.
Here’s what you need to know:
🎨 Non-standard crosswalks add colour and creativity to our streets but require Town approval before installation.
📍 Locations must be existing marked crosswalks with proper lighting and visibility. Provincial highways and certain roads are not eligible.
🖌️ Designs must stay within standard crosswalk markings, use latex-based paint, and avoid text, logos, or traffic symbols.
📝 To apply, fill out a form and pay a $100 fee at the Town Office. Applicants are responsible for installation, materials, and traffic control.
