We're starting the process of refreshing our Land Use Bylaw, and you're going to LUB it! (Just had to get that pun out of our system)
At Monday's Governance and Priorities Meeting, Alisha Mody, our Manager of Planning and Development, presented a draft of the refreshed Land Use Bylaw (LUB) to Council. See the presentation for yourself on our project webpage at www.peaceriver.ca/LUBrefresh
This bylaw is a big deal, as it governs how land is used throughout our community, what's allowed in certain areas, and what's not. A LUB helps ensure the community develops in an organized, sustainable, and safe way. It sets clear rules for how land can be used, whether for homes, businesses, parks, or industry.
This updated draft aims to better reflect Peace River’s current and future needs. It’s still a work in progress, and your input is necessary. We will be providing specific information about the key changes and opportunities for feedback as this progresses.
Coming soon:
- A public open house on February 19 from 4 to 6 pm in Council Chambers, where you can learn more and share your thoughts.
- A public survey to provide your feedback. Watch for an announcement when this is open.
