With a busy weekend ahead, please note that there will be some temporary road closures, parking impacts, and river restrictions for Rotaract River Days and the Peace River Gold Cup.
➡ Friday, June 19
- 94 Street will be closed from 4-6 p.m. for the River Days Plaid Parade.
- 101 Street between 101 Avenue and 100 Avenue will be closed from 10 a.m. to midnight for the 101 Street Block Party.
Please avoid parking within the marked closure areas, follow posted signage, and allow extra time when travelling downtown.
➡ June 20-21: River and Boat Launch restrictions
- The Lower West Peace Boat Launch will be closed to the general public on Saturday and Sunday for the 2026 Peace River Gold Cup. The public is also asked to stay off affected sections of the Peace and Smoky rivers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days for race safety.
Race teams may also be testing and pre-running the race course at high speeds in advance of the weekend, so anyone using the river should exercise extreme caution.
If you're planning on filming drone content this weekend, please be extra conscious of helicopters, crowds, and the race action, and ensure you are flying safely.
Thank you for helping everyone enjoy a safe Rotaract River Days and Gold Cup weekend.
