Council connected with visiting members of the Canadian Armed Forces (1 Service Battalion) at Tim Horton's this week.
CAF members explained that as part of the planned preparedness training, they were approaching businesses and facilities in town to understand what resources would be available in the event they had to mobilize an emergency response, such as in the case of a large wildfire or similar event.
They were one of four delegate groups conducting this scheduled training exercise throughout Alberta.
