You may notice Canadian Armed Forces personnel and vehicles in Peace River in the coming days.
As part of Operation NANOOK-NUNALIVUT, troops and equipment will be travelling through northern Alberta between February 8 and 11 during daylight hours. Peace River is a planned short stopover location along their route.
Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling near military vehicles and to pass safely. You may see military personnel in operational clothing. Participating soldiers will not be carrying weapons or ammunition when making public stops on the travel route.
Thank you for your understanding as the Canadian Armed Forces conduct this annual training operation.
