The 2025 Municipal Election Nomination Period opens January 2, 2025!
If you’re considering running for Council or Mayor in the Town of Peace River, now is the time to start thinking about the paperwork.
Here’s what you’ll need to file your nomination:
- A completed nomination form (available on our website or at the Town Office)
- Signatures from at least 5 eligible voters
- A $50 deposit
- A criminal record check from the RCMP (conducted within the last 6 months)
- A completed Form 5 – Candidate Financial Information
Nomination packages must be filed with the Returning Officer before noon on Nomination Day, September 22, 2025.
